    Starts off soft, then pills after 4 wears

    Although I can't speak to the bottoms of this line, this top fits on the smaller side; it is fitted and stretchy so if you want comfort, size up. it is soft and comfy (stretchy) which is how it started. this is a blended fabric instead of being 100% merino like icebreaker, it is 50% merino. it's not as heavyweight as my icebreaker 200-260-320 weight long sleeves and icebreaker/arcteryx sweaters so I waited until the spring to wear this as a standalone top on cooler days. this fabric composition is not thick to begin with, and after 3 wears, there is already light pilling all around the shirt and extreme ball pilling on the front--extremely off-putting. I have not worn a sweater over this yet. I do not imagine these pieces lasting through a winter as base layers under pants and sweaters. I will be asking knix for a refund/return.

    This is my new #1 for base layering. I’m sensitive to wool but this top is so soft and breathes well for active days (snowshoeing/skiing). Not my driving decision but an added bonus that my partner noted it’s a flattering cut with the sculpted seams.

    Merino SculptWool® Seamless Top

    This merino base layer top is a game changer for warmth, comfort and style. I love the softness and contoured fit of it. I am sensitive to wool and there is no itchiness. Goes perfectly over the merino base bottoms as a very warm, soft and comfortable way to get outside to enjoy the cold weather. Or for lounging at home. So worth the price.
